“Minnesotans 4 Choices” launches new education campaign highlighting how beer, wine, & spirits in grocery and convenience stores will decrease product availability and consumer choices
(St. Paul, Minn.) – A new public education campaign for Minnesotans who love craft beer, wine, and spirits, launched today with a website (www.minnesotans4choices.com) featuring the first of several videos designed to inform and engage consumers about implications of alcohol everywhere legislation.
Minnesotans 4 Choices is a group of Minnesotans from throughout the state who love their craft beer, wine diversity, and spirit assortment. We desire to preserve Minnesota’s heritage of easy accessibility and unsurpassed beer, wine, and spirit selection.
We stand in solidarity with small businesses across the state currently providing Minnesota with access to a breadth of choices that is the envy of consumers across the nation. Minnesotans 4 Choices will be promoting its message on Facebook, Twitter, and also provide an opportunity for the public to contact their state legislators to support keeping large consumer choices available.
In the first Minnesotans 4 Choices video, a beer, wine, spirits aficionado says, “For every action, there’s a reaction. The more proliferation of alcohol retail stores, you have a very limited selection of items to purchase, brands to purchase, sizes to purchase – and the specialization and the knowledge of the products won’t be there. For every action, there’s a reaction. Convenience is nice to have in a grocery store, but the reaction is: fewer choices for us.”
